“ I’m giving this place a 5 star because the food is absolutely incredible! I got a chili burger and replaced the barbecue with mushrooms, fries, and a bagel with their dill cream cheese and it was delicious. Best fries and burger I’ve had, the seasoning on the fries was so great and they were crispy. The burger was flavorful and the bagel hit the spot. I’m not counting the service and atmosphere in my rating because they’re just super busy and it took a really long time for out orders to be taken and for the waitresses to come around, but I don’t blame them. If you’re coming here expect it to be crowded, loud, and to be waiting since they’re packed. But the food was definitely worth it! ”
“ Fun little restaurant in a modified row house. The staff are kind and they were dressed up for Halloween. There are only a few tables so either go during off times or be prepared to wait. Thought there is a bar with a few stools. Perfect for solo dining. There is a lot to look at on the walls. The menu has typical breakfast choices and a few twists. They also serve a fair amount of vegan options. It’s a great place to go with friends who may have dietary restrictions. I ordered the lemon curd French toast. So good, didn’t even need syrup. ”
“ I discovered 821 cafe on a Facebook group about restaurants in Richmond when I queried vegan restaurants in the area.. it was highly recommended and definitely did NOT disappoint. We had divine “chicken” wings, vegan chili and a really delicious salad. I only took one picture though- but we will definitely be coming back! I want to try it all! We also had excellent service. The restaurant is so cute, definitely one of my new favorite spots!! ”
“ The restaurant is a good brunch meet up spot on the VCU campus area with plenty of street parking. The prices are reasonable and they have a good selection of traditional and vegan friendly food options. Great for meet up gatherings, but they have a small dining and bar area to eat at. Friendly staff service. ”
“ This is a smaller place that offers some nice selections. I went for breakfast and got both the hummus plate (11) and the veggie country fried chicken (12) which came up to about 26 combined. The fried chicken was about average. Honestly loved the hummus so much I forgot about the fried chicken platter, which was delicious and was definitely worth the cost. This plate is easily sharable among 3-4 people. The restaurant is small and quaint so don't expect too much free seating around if you get there around busy hours. ”
“ We're addicted to their vegan food! We go here at least once a week. Only issue is night staff is nothing like the daytime staff. The daytime staff are great! But I still rate them 5 stars because the food is always delicious and hot. The custom mocktails are AMAZING every time. ”
